For some reason fixated on JMU last nite which brought up those woulda coulda shoulda playoff games.Sure we could suck wind and get blown. Very unlikely. A close game whether high scoring or not as we are a more experienced team than TU should favor us. My nightmare is to lose such a game because of a ST miscue or a penalty nullifying a TD or a ref mistake giving TU 7 downs to score etc etc ad nauseum.
I think we have a number of edges on Sat
Our D I do believe is a match for TU Offense. Particularly the front 7. TU runs a pretty vaniila pass O, occasional bombs mostly possession passes
Run TU has West and other good runners, good if small OL. Key is not overcommiting for our DBs. MAINE ran a lot of 8-9 in the box. If TU runner broke out it was for huge yds.
TU has a bunch of FBS transfers . One very good LB. Overall D not very good. Bend dont break scheme so they become tougher inside the 20 but from the games and clips I’ve watched the redzone D funnels everyhthing inside but has noone to cover a TE of HB. We’ll see what Dave does.
