Not sure but agree a must win. Yale very blah on O. Roberts completes about 60% but avgs less then 8 yds per completion. RBs avg less than 4 yds per carry.
2-0 with nailbiters ve Gat and Crnell.

Rich those stats are before they seen OUR D…LOL. Im sure we will pump those up for the Eli. I’m not quite sure rain will be that big of a factor. Checking the weather its suppose to be clear 5 hours before the game and rain in spots from 12-2, clear at 2:00. Its a long ways off but thats what the local weather people channel has. A loss here would be devasting for LU, a must win. Coen record vs Yale is horrible

:) Yale may be salivating at the prospect of our D. Neither Gate nor Cornell have top Ds. Thanks for the hourly on weather. Agree ,may not be an issue.

Andy noted that Lynn would be in the DL rototation. Said he was slowed by injuries in camp. Got in for 15 snaps ladt week.

With injuries to D.J. Bourgeois (out for year) and T.J. Stubbs (this week), Lehigh goes into homecoming with 9 healthy DL on the roster.

Frosh DE Julian Lynn is the fifth freshman to get snaps on defense this season (McCloskey, Buskirk, Montgomery, Gies). McCloskey already has had the most serious time in the D rotation, but it seems very likely Julian Lynn could be getting serious snaps in the weeks to come, the same way Cavenas did last season.

DE Harrison Johnson is also going to play a huge role in this game. It is his time to step up and deliver. If he has a great game, I could see it making a big difference. Johnson’s only a soph.

Think these changes are going to be.permanent. Albeit forcd by injury. Johnson, light but, very very fast. Lynn likely the best athlete of all our DL. Would love to see them teamed with Caveman. TC 295 with a beiil,Lynn 290 with no belly :)
Yale’s top RB Candler may be out along with anOL and WR. Looking at box scores Yale likes to shoot themselves in the foot on O. Our D can use any help it can get.

Too bad about DJ. He was highly touted, but rarely used, and and seemed to come on great last year. Maybe he can get a fifth year if he’s so inclined.

DJ heavily recruited as a LB by FBS until knee injury. He’s had his share of injuries here, definitely eligible if he wants it.

Yale has a lot of returning experience on D, but, then, so did Princeton and we moved the ball well. Yale O not the threat it was last year with Varga, who was a beast. We are better than than last year. Eliminate the mistakes and we win. That simple. At luncheon today, Andy indicated secondary very thin due to injuries. Loss of Lambert at Rover has had a big impact imo. We have some undersized and young guys out there. Hopefully, quickness can compensate. Sansone getting MRI tomorrow, so I assume will be at least a few weeks if not out for the season. Lots of opportunities for Frosh and Sophs to shine. Rain should stop late a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully, they cover the field. Torrential rain expected all day and night Friday.

Watching bits and pieces of our games. D has gotten progressively more conservative. Understand lots of key injuries and new kids moving up. To me only way D gets better is for Botts to sell out on the aggressive scheme we are using, not play a read and react D.

My preview of the “Yank Townsend” trophy game:

As of this moment, the weather looks like it’s going to cooperate. The actual chance of rain on Saturday has been in a steady decrease today, being downgraded to merely chance of showers on Saturday AM. We’ll see how this shakes out.

Game breakdown and fearless prediction of Yale/Lehigh

    http://lehighfootballnation.blogspot.com/2015/10/game-breakdown-yale-at-lehigh-1032015.html

Injuries could be a HUGE factor, and not the ones you might think.

Weather is starting to look like the rain might miss the game window entirely.
