RB Alan Lamar, the expected starter, is out for the season; Mountain Hawk killer Deshawn Salter is expected to start this week vs. Lehigh:

    That’s funny LFN.

If you, the stats below and my math are right, Salter has 384 yards in two games vs LU (192 ypg) and 535 yards in 17 games (31.4 ypg) against other teams.

Will our defense make Salter look like Chase Edmonds or Deshawn Salter?

Our D made Monmouth’s Pete Guerriero look like Edmonds last week (189 yards). Even Lafayette held Guerriero, in his FIRST college game, to 139.

Would be interesting to see how many second-rate RBs end up looking like Edmonds against us. Edmonds had 182 vs us last year and 359 vs Lafayette in a year in which he averaged almost 164 ypg.

We still give up a monster run or2 each week. Dont think it makes any difference who the RB is.
Perhaps to ease the angst we should look at Mayes’ stats from last year.

Well buck perhaps they are. You think Mayes isnt looking forward to the Yale 2ndary. Do try to recall last year’s game.

Buck…completely uncalled for. completely crossed the line. I swear sometimes the comments on this board boil my blood. I have no problem with people writing something as long a they are just as comfortable saying the same thing in person out from cover of an emoji and anonymous screen name. I doubt that is the case with you.

Buck, they aren’t afraid to hit, they don’t know how to! Arm tackling and diving at ankles is what they do. Who will emerge as the new star RB from Yale sat? We make everyone stars. I hope Mayes repeat his performance from last yr, our only hope.

Kids are doing the best they can with what they are given
    1) play calling
    2) wrong players in wrong positions
    3) coaches loyalty to certain players- regardless of talent
Btw. Buck, really showing your keyboard courage today. Maybe you should volunteer to be a tackling dummy :)
