Garzillo is DH’ing tonight in his first appearance for Bourne. Not sure how this plays into his negotiations with the Yankees. I assume that playing well in a league as prestigious as the Cape Cod League would help with his leverage, or perhaps his playing in a summer league is an indication that he could be returning to Bethlehem next year.
Kevin Long is on the Lakeshore roster in the Northwoods League, which is excellent competition as well, but is yet to make an appearance on the year.
