Fully agree. However, to complete the thought about injuries imo the ‘drop off’ in ability between starter and backup can be varied and this is where depth comes into play. With smaller rosters,now, due to scholarships staying free of major injuries is critical. It is part of the game and the reason the best team wins–not the starting 25 (including ST’s).
