Chop block illegal, cut block legal. You must differentiate between the two as a ref. My suggestion would be to do a better job of teaching players how to play the cut block. We may not like it but cutting is a tactic used by all teams in football Lehigh included. Didn’t see the game last year but if Yale employed blatant tactics to chop block and injure players that is awful, and the refs should be held accountable as well as Yale coaching staff. My guess is that Yale employed some nasty cut blocks but ones within the rules for the most part, part of the game like or not.
