I also read somewhere that they collect all their rainwater and use it to irrigate the fields and flush the toilets. They also save their cooking grease and use it to fuel some of their maintenance equipment.
I suspect that the price of much of this equipment has come way down since 2013 and the cost of generating electricity is going up. Just a thought.
