Lehigh is supposed to be a school on the cutting edge. We designed an entire program around using technology to provide for our future energy needs. Energy and Medicine are the fields of the future and yet we have no solar panels nor turbines for our students to learn to create and grow with nor do we offer anything in the bio-engineering or medical professions. To me that’s a shame.
While attending the Princeton football game I noticed that all the streetlights in town were powered with small solar panels. The lights went on at night. When driving past some construction site on the way back, the work area was lit up by incredibly bright lights with solar panels attached. All things are possible if we put our minds to it.
Now back to football. Go Lehigh!!
