Not much overhead in soccer, for example. Yes, fees help defray costs. But many public and private school (middle and high schools) families already are paying booster club dues, pay-to-play fees, raising funds through pancake breakfasts and the like.

Yet everyone wants attendance.

Someone sent me a link to get tickets for the LU football game this weekend, and advance tickets, including fees, are about $20 pp.

Is it really worth it? At an Iron Pigs game, for example, I get a far better value — given the atmosphere, other things going on there.
