Appearing on SportsCenter to discuss the 2015-16 NBA season so far, former Trail Blazers executive and ESPN analyst Tom Penn had high praise for Portland’s 4-2 start to the campaign. With experience helping scout and drafting players with Portland and the Memphis Grizzlies, Penn was quick to point to <span style=”text-decoration:underline;”>CJ McCollum’s scoring ability as a key component in the Trail Blazers’ early success:</span>
“They have two Damian Lillards! CJ McCollum, when he was drafted by Portland, compared perfectly to Damian Lillard… Now, after losing four out of their five starters, CJ’s healthy, and he’s knocking in three-pointers at 46% per clip. They are bombing away!”
