The only thing I’m confident about is that, right now, this isn’t a very good team. I’m not smart enough to know if that’s all a talent problem, or if there’s a coaching/system problem. Effort looks like it’s there, to me. We just look out-classed, regardless of opponent. I can’t point to any single area to say “better X would fix it”.
At this point, my best guess is that we over-achieved last year, and have fooled ourselves as a result.
