Cant disagree with your basic point but I dont see PL position as tough. We have our own niche. Yes we exist in between Ivies and the CAA et al in some ways but that is a plus for me after so many years as an Ivy Lite affiliate of the Ivies. We offer much that they cant all match. The Ivies have the cachet but we offer an equivalent education and a more competitive schedule leading to the playoffs. The CAA we offer a vastly superior education than all but a few of the Power leagues. Most of us play very competitive schedules and athletic scholarships.
Not saying we are better overall than either but that we have a definite niche that successfully competes with both for players.
