Washington Sr. (USC Transfer), Number 0, 6’7″
Washington has been hampered lately by an ankle injury and back pains. Missed two the team’s 30 games. Over the last three, his minutes and production have dropped to 22 mpg, 9ppg and 4 rpg. His season long numbers are: 30 mpg, 14ppg and 7rpg. Assume he’ll draw Holden.
Gilmore/Nance Combo. Over the last three they have taken 50% (69 of 138) of the team’s FGAs and put up impressive numbers. Gilmore, their 3pt. specialist with 200 attempts on the year and 10 in their last game (.368 hit rate) sports these 3-game numbers: 14.3ppg and 5.1rpg. Nance, at the “5”, has turned it up over the last three averaging: 16.3ppg and 6.3rpg. All this and 35-40 minutes per game! I guess altitude doesn’t bother them. Assume Gabe on Nance and, of course, Mackey on Gilmore.
Very concerned over our short bench and how we adjust not only to altitude but the expected slow pace of play. Then again, maybe we’ll attempt to ramp it up and establish the pace of play.
