It is interesting that CCSU, with an inexperienced QB, throws to the TE successfully and often during key yardage plays. I do not think that Lehigh did so once.
Why? – because it is too complicated for our OC so we overuses the QB.
Downfield passes or slants over the middle?? No, too complicated and difficult to learn for the coach.
I have rarely seen an opposing defensive backfield so bunched up. They had zero fear of LU spreading the field so they played accordingly. Sure enough, the next play was a hand off – up the middle or a QB run.
