Finally, great coaches bring out the best in all sorts of different players with all sorts of personalities.
Great people — just like coaches — do the same.
Some of those men and women ARE heroes, especially to kids who come from circumstances where that role model dramatically helps them improve their lives.
My guess is all LU coaches have been heroes personally to multiple players here and elsewhere at one time or another, on the personal and athletic side.
That does not mean the coaches should not be accountable for having the kind of winning (on and off field) program Lehigh expects.
