Unless some changes are made on our approach to defense, we will be saddled with 5-6, 6-5 seasons with neck strain on watching tennis match-like offense. Remindful of the Small years, which were barely above .500 though “exciting”. I’d rather win alot with scores like 28-14 than muddling through around .500 with scores like 49-42. This team can be a Top 15 team over the next 2-3 years (barring serious injuries) if we can get some semblance of a defense. The only team in the PL that seems to play consistently good defense is Bucknell. Luckily their offense went MIA this year. Colgate has a bunch back next year, including their QB; Fordham will still have a lot of skill. We should be in that mix. We won’t get better by standing still.
