Lehigh had two class of 2015 pitching commits with starts today in New Jersey state semifinals. They both pitched 7IP complete game shutouts.
Ethan Frohman only allowed three hits and struck out 11 – http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news/article/-2444201407917872721/gov-livingston-3-at-buena-0-njsiaa-tournament-first-round-south-jersey-group-2-baseball/.
Mike Gibbons wasn’t as dominant but scattered 10 hits and struck out 7 – http://highschoolsports.nj.com/news/article/-2444204408026873070/montclair-kimberley-0-at-newark-academy-5-njsiaa-tournament-final-round-non-public-north-jersey-b-baseball/.

I followed him a bit during the spring. I don’t recall any significant injury but I will tell you that he is a beast. He is listed at 6-7, 225 and has terrific power. It will be interesting to see how Sean will use him over the next 4 years.August 8, 2015 at 11:30 pm #20854This article references a stress fracture in his shin that limited how much he could pitch in his high school season. Hopefully he is fully healed up and ready to go 100% for fall ball and then the spring.
TMH, when you say power are you referring to his arm or as a hitter? It sounds like he will only be pitching in college but you never know.
August 9, 2015 at 12:51 am #20855Ahhh….that explains a lot. Cole started out pitching very well but then had 3 really bad outings in a row and then one great one with 1 run and 11 Ks in 6 innings. He didn’t pitch during the last 2 weeks of the season. He hit .360 and led his team in HRs with 4 and RBIs with 34.

The Lehigh roster only lists him as a RHP but I might consider letting him hit when his turn comes up.
Hope that helps.
August 12, 2015 at 2:04 am #20915Stabler, saw McManimon throw this summer for legion. He pitched all spring with the injury to right shin. Played last three weeks of HS season with 8 stitches in his right thumb, so they wouldn’t let him pitch with it wrapped. Legit 6’7 225. MLB Scout had him touching 88 his last start for legion. Very good control.
August 24, 2015 at 1:40 pm #21205Just noticed that Lehigh has gotten a transfer from Columbia in this year’s class
