Sorry to hear about this, but what are the chances be that Coach K can come back and resurrect the LU D?

Based on his Vanderbilt bio, he’s 62 or 63.

The defense hasn’t been the same since he left. Please come back!

Not a bad idea…another ‘dream’ would be Holy Cross axing Gilmore and him returning as DC.

    No dice on Gilmore:

    Cross re-signs Gilmore

Hmm. 9 wins in three seasons. I like Tom and would love to see him back here as the DC, but at this stage of career he wouldn’t take step back unless he saw it as a short term place holder. With the transition in the PL with scholarships, I believe most coaches will be given more than the usual ‘leash’. But once in place, I expect there will be higher expectations.

Just realized in scanning the Valparaiso website that Ernie Moore was Valpo’s DC this year. He was a very good DB for us five years ago. Since graduating he has coached one year here, at F&M and three years at U of Chicago. Cecchini had a very good first year in attempting to turn around a moribound program. The had PFL champ Sand Diego beat until the last play of the game and won four games this year, more than the prior two years combined. Can’t help but see half of his staff former Lehigh players or coaches.

Good for him. Great guy. Didn’t know Ceech hired him. Interesting note,Valpo offered Josh Abel RB Fla,who we visited. Guessing we dcomended him to Valpo :)

Valpo seems to have a connection to east-central Fla., West Palm north. Able goes to same school as Favoroso. A few other kids on Valpo roster from area.
