    Anyone go?

If so, did you get any special insights? Looks like there were ups downs, but overall a good team effort.

Close but no cigar. Cornell has superstars, Lehigh has a lot of “Johnny Try Hards”. 10 years in a row with no end in sight.

Not quite as sanguine as buck. Cornell has superstars indeed. We dont yet. What buck omits is that most of our squad is composed of sophs, r/s frosh and frosh. We will improve again next year. A key question will be whether Minotti,a 2 time A-A, will be able to continue.

team score might have been quite a bit different if Minotti was able to go

    A 1st or 2nd instead of an 8th.

Minotti was very close to wrestling in the EIWA tournament this year but had a setback the week before. I expect him to be ready and healthy next season. Actually I was wondering if the NCAA still has that special exemption for the tournament this year for those of special merit but unable to participate in the qualifier.
As for this year’s tournament, Cornell wrestled exceptionally well. Lehigh did well also. Nathaniel’s losses were a disappointment. I suspect he may bounce back. Based on power rankings, Bolich was probably seeded much to high. The good news however.
    1.)All 10 wrestlers placed.
2.)9 wrestlers qualified for the NCAA tournament.
3.)We had no top seeds but still crowned 2 champions.
4.)Gordon Wolf who was unseeded wrestled to a 5th place finish
5.)Beckman seemed to find his stride until he ran into that buzzsaw named Garrett.

For Minotti to get a wild card, he would have had to enter the tournament and medically forfeit two matches, possibly do 1 second defaults.

Lehigh set a record for points for second place team AND scored the 8th most points in tournament history! To get two champs with no #1 seeds is a great accomplishment. With a healthy Minotti we win the tourney. But, Mitch is more than banged up, he had major infection post-surgery which really sapped him. Hopefully, he’ll be ready to go next fall. A lot of talent coming back and coming in.
