November 5, 2011 at 8:12 am #3866LU65,
Thanks for the updates. In looking at the article regarding LU, I am somewhat surprised the Reed says there is no senior leadership. Jordan Hamilton was chosen as captain and Reed had some positive words regarding Hamilton, Maneri and Adams in past articles and/or videos, The article does not convey this message at all, nor does it mention Hamilton. Leadership comes in many forms. Your thoughts? I am convinced we will see a different team this year!
November 5, 2011 at 11:01 pm #3869norcal, I was taken back by the "lack of senior leadership" comment as well. Could the author have misquoted Reed? Or, was the Good Doctor just "stoking the flames" or perhaps pushing what he thought were the right buttons to incent the players in question. Either way, I’m not worried. I will say now that druing my informal chats with the Coach over the summer months he spoke highly of JH’s leadership skills. Soon after that I posted my captain thoughts on this board and and projected Jordan to named as one of three. Right on him; wrong on the number.
Too bad you’re not going to be around for opening night. We’ll miss you. Enjoy the game on ESPN2.

Thanks for the comments. Mark this down, we agree two times in one year:). Let’s not start a trend.
I have to agree that this has to be a misquote as one thing for sure about Reed is he measures his words carefully, agree or not. I cannot believe he would send a double message, even to get the boys motivated. I doubt they read the blog. The seniors want to be on that floor as much as possible.
Since you have the inside scoop, can you say why he did not pick three captains. He seems to have a lot of faith in Knutsen. I have not been around that long, but in the past, there have been two seniors and another player. I think this is going to be a good year for them. They must play together and have strong leadership. I sure hope Hamilton can lead!November 7, 2011 at 2:09 pm #3883Previews you may have missed:
