People I think are missing the role of momentum. Even down 24-13 the key loss in the second half was one of momentum, i.e. a turnover stopping key drives.
There was a point where Surace was breaking out 2- and 3- QB formations in an effort to disrupt our defense and to gain momentum. His use of that, you can argue, was how he won the game. They were successful using those plays, and it gave Princeton momentum. Was that smart of him to unleash that vs. us instead of against Harvard or Yale? Unclear at this point, but that’s what he did.
Surace did a great job of creating momentum for his team. Lehigh tried to create momentum, but every time killed their own momentum through unforced errors.
