There is a reason why there are not many walk ons. Over the past few years several kids that thought about doing so have decided against it because of how the bottom players are used in practice. One was told you are essentially a manager in practice and do not participate. He and several other club players decided against walking on. If you want the kids you have to include them as a player at least in practice.

They did look to add walk ons this fall and had little interest.
