With Sapdola and Kurfis you have a pair of 4.45 40 guys on each side. There are many elite D1 schools that do not have that combo. Add a sure handed Soto in slot and the wideouts is a QB’s dream, faster than this years team. The QB question must be quickly resolved to give the starter a chance to get the ball to these guys.

Again a possible cruise through Patriot league but without a solid running game and O line, the results will a third ring and a 1st or 2nd round loss. Both Running game with Barkett injury and losses in Oline will be a question. But then again, we thought OLine would be a question this year and they performed quite well.

It will be another interesting year.

I’m a bit worried about an at times pourous defense against average passing attacks. At times we seem to be a step slow against the pass. Not so much an issue in Patriot but I’m worried as playoffs loom.

Think he is draftable? Free agent? He has decent size and good arm. Thoughts?

LU, I love ya but the comment that we have a "practice game" against Harvard is a microcosm of what is wrong with this team. This suggests to me a mentality that it’s okay to get steamrolled by good teams in the CAA and Ivy as long as we beat the weak and downright bad Patriot league. I for one will not be satisfied with a four loss Patriot League championship. Bucknell and Laf appear to be so bad that some of the top 4A HS teams could beat them.

Sure hope this mentality does not leak into the team. I worry, we just beat a bad Forham team and now we are going to get thrashed by an IVY? Don’t worry kids, this game doesn’t count..just do your best….its a Patriot League title we are after.

They looked okay. It’s hard to tell about development because they have all grade levels playing JV football. It’s nice to see all of the kids get action however. From the freshman, I Liked what I saw.

Something is to be said for "bigger, faster stronger" and better. This season may very well shape up to be one where we beat the Drakes, Princetons, Fordhams and Georgetowns handily and lose to the bigger and faster programs of Nova and New Hampshire. Will that be seen as a good season or a bad one? If that is seen as a good season, then I suggest that we are striving for mediocrity. This season, the winner of the Patriot league could very well be a very average team. Troubling thought.

Lee Kurfis had 5 catches for about 75 yards in the Valor bowl. Looked strong out there.
